Surface Infrastructure Manager

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead a team of surface electrical personnel in ensuring statutory and general work orders are completed on time and within budget. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical maintenance, leadership, and project management skills.

  • Coordinate and lead a team to ensure Work Order compliance weekly and yearly, including planning and execution.
  • Ensure projects are completed to high quality standards and on time.
  • Provide technical leadership for the surface electrical maintenance department.
  • Plan for the electrical equipment and systems to operate in demanding conditions at the mine site.
  • Assist the Surface Infrastructure Superintendent by planning and providing engineering support for the production section.
  • Installation, design, construction, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems.
  • Installation, testing, maintaining, repairing, and reporting on all electrical equipment used at the mine.
  • Provide trouble-shooting support to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Work cooperatively with other departments, project managers, supply chain, and mine management to optimize production, reduce costs, solve problems, and meet deadlines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Current Electrical License or Electrical tertiary qualification
  • Electrical and Underground Mining Trade experience (advantageous)
  • S11, S123, and G2
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering key projects
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate across different levels of the organization
  • Project management skills to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Experience with SAP or other computerized maintenance management systems
  • Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office suite of programs
