Electrical Engineer Role

This is a pivotal position in creating and ensuring the quality of procedures for Power Generation, Combined Cycle Gas Turbine, and Combined Heat and Power Projects. The Electrical Engineer will work under the supervision of the Procedures and Quality Control Manager to coordinate, create, and review Construction and Commissioning procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and apply methods and techniques to develop electrical installation and commissioning procedures.
  • Implement standard engineering criteria and use independent judgment with moderated supervision.
  • Review electrical engineering designs, including single-line diagrams, schematic diagrams, connection diagrams, protection schemes, equipment tree line diagrams, load lists, etc.
  • Evaluate alternate and direct current designs capable of developing power plant standard equipment installation and commissioning procedures.

The ideal candidate should have knowledge of main power plant electrical components, such as power and distribution transformers, control transformers, current transformers, generators, Automatic Voltage Regulators, static frequency converters, generator protection panels, and other auxiliary equipment.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Technical diploma from a college or university.
  • 2-4 years of direct experience in power generation, construction, industrial operation, or a combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Knowledge of ISO procedures and OSHA safety requirements.

The successful candidate will be able to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, analyze problems of either machine-related or computer-generated data, and communicate clearly.
