Lead Electrical Engineer Position

This role involves leading a team of engineers and technical staff in resolving complex electrical engineering issues during shipbuilding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct a team to resolve electrical engineering problems, including cable management, fibre optic cabling, and conduit systems.
  • Provide technical assistance between the Production Engineering team, Ship Management, and Operations stakeholders.
  • Exercise formal authority to develop Production Query fit/form variances.
  • Maintain repair threshold documents with design authorities and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Significant experience as an electrical engineer with application to shipbuilding projects.
  • Expertise in developing electrical equipment designs, conducting design analyses, and implementing electrical/electronic solutions.
  • Engineering degree qualified, meeting Chartered membership requirements of Engineers Australia.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and customer relations skills.
  • Understanding of project requirements, design principles, safety protocols, and verification procedures.
