We are seeking a commercially savvy estate planning lawyer to lead our team and shape the country's leading online wills platform. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for steering complex client strategy, mentoring rising talent, and refining processes.
- Advise on sophisticated estate plans for blended families, high net worth clients, trusts, SMSFs, disability considerations, and more.
- Draft and review complex Wills, testamentary trusts, Enduring Powers of Attorney, and ancillary documents across Australian jurisdictions.
- Own client relationships, lead advice conferences, communicate options with empathy, and deliver outcomes.
- Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and paralegals, ensuring quality, accuracy, and growth.
- Refine our engine, improve precedents, templates, and workflows; test new automations; surface insights from our CRM.
- Drive growth, balance legal excellence with commercial awareness, tracking metrics and identifying opportunities to expand our offering.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- 4-8 years PQE with significant experience in estate planning, testamentary trusts, and related advisory work.
- Proficiency or strong interest in Probate & Administration matters.
- Confident facilitator of client strategy sessions; excellent interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional drafting and document-review rigour.
- Commercial mindset: comfortable juggling advisory, sales, and quality control.
- Collaborative leader who uplifts teammates and shares knowledge freely.
- Data-curious: willing to track performance and iterate for continuous improvement.
As a key member of our team, you can expect:
- National influence: Your expertise shapes the country's leading online wills platform and how estate planning is delivered at scale.
- Build, don't just bill: Lead a function, coach juniors, refine processes, and architect the next generation of our services.
- Breadth and depth: From simple estates to SMSFs and multi-layered trust structures - learn broadly and fast.
- Supportive culture: Tight-knit team, regular lunches, Friday drinks, spontaneous celebrations, and every classic startup perk.
At our organization, we thrive on clarity, accountability, and momentum. We care deeply about doing things right - not just legally, but ethically, operationally, and for our clients.
