Residential Community Manager

The Residential Community Manager is a vital role that ensures the smooth operation of the colleague village at InterContinental Hayman Great Barrier Reef.

This position presents a unique opportunity to create, transform, and redefine a contemporary and positive residential offering for all colleagues residing on Hayman Island. The focus will be on the social, environmental, health, and wellness components of the residential community.

This position is key in driving initiatives that attract and engage talent of the future, reducing turnover, and increasing revenue generation while delivering a balanced and comfortable lifestyle and environment with an active and engaged community.


About the Job

This role is responsible for ensuring exceptional service, professional attention, and personal recognition are provided to all colleagues. It requires inspiring and motivating team members to deliver a unique experience by collaborating with department managers to maintain high service standards and drive continuous improvement.

Regular inspections of accommodations and public areas are necessary to identify and resolve any deficiencies promptly. Engaging with colleagues upon arrival, addressing complaints, seeking feedback, and building relationships enhance overall satisfaction.

This position requires demonstrated experience in leading a multi-cultural and diverse team, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Hotel Management or Business Administration, and significant operations experience in a leadership role across various functions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Plan staffing needs, assign work, and set performance and development goals.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to improve team performance.
  • Educate staff on compliance with laws and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate personnel records.
