Crisis Intervention Specialist is a vital role in our community.
The position provides acute trauma intervention services in the home and community, including trauma screening and assessment. The Crisis Intervention Specialist delivers Child Family Traumatic Stress Intervention and Trauma Focused -Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, offering practical and emotional support to family members and witnesses of traumatic or violent events.
This role requires collaboration with law enforcement, hospitals, schools, and other community agencies to coordinate care and services. The specialist assists families in planning for safety and understanding potential impacts of incidents on children, coordinates with other responders and systems, and connects them to resources to navigate the criminal justice process.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in social work, with a minimum of one year professionally supervised work in the delivery of mental health, chemical dependency and/or social services. A valid Ohio driver's license with a good driving record and proof of insurance is also required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide acute trauma intervention services in the home and community, including trauma screening and assessment.
- Deliver Child Family Traumatic Stress Intervention and Trauma Focused -Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
- Offer practical and emotional support to family members and witnesses of traumatic or violent events.
- Collaborate with law enforcement, hospitals, schools, and other community agencies to coordinate care and services.
- Assist families in planning for safety and understanding potential impacts of incidents on children.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 10:00am – 6:30pm. This is a non-exempt, union position with a pay rate of $36.06 per hour.
Qualifications:
