Job Overview

The Trauma Data Analyst role is a crucial position within our healthcare organization. Under the supervision of experienced professionals, you will be responsible for abstracting, submitting, analyzing, and designing accurate quality data for our trauma registry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze trauma patient information in a timely manner, ensuring high accuracy and adherence to established guidelines.
  • Build and generate reports as requested by management, utilizing expertise in ICD-10CM & PCS coding, AIS/ISS scoring, and E-codes.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify trends and patterns in data, providing insights and recommendations to support performance improvement initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three years' experience in healthcare information systems, preferably in a trauma or burn registry setting.
  • Proficiency in Epic and trauma registry software, with typing speed of 30 wpm and knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards.
