Donor Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Donor Care Specialist to join our team. This is a permanent part-time opportunity with varied shifts across a rotating roster, including weekends and afternoons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional donor experiences that promote long-term relationships and loyalty.
  • Conduct comprehensive interviews to assess donor eligibility and suitability.
  • Perform routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests, as well as set up machines and collections equipment.
  • Ensure safe insertion and removal of needles to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets.
  • Provide post-donation care and support, including rebooking donations and addressing donor concerns.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve collection targets and maintain a positive team culture.

Requirements:

  • Be comfortable working with blood and biological materials.
  • Occasionally lift between 9-22.7kgs.
  • Foster a supportive team environment and contribute to a positive work culture.
  • Stand, walk, and bend frequently to set up and pack down machines and blood products.
  • Be flexible and willing to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Sunday.
