Bene Aged Care is launching a brand-new Specialist Dementia Care Unit in November 2025 at our St Agnes site — and we're looking for dedicated PCWs to join our care team.Why Join Bene Aged CareSpecialist Dementia Training: Build on your skills with specialised training and development in dementia and behaviour support.Supportive Team Culture: Work alongside passionate nurses, allied health professionals, and care staff in a respectful, team-focused environment.Permanent Roles with Job Security: Be part of a long-term care model that values stability and quality outcomes for both residents and staff.Real Impact: Help residents with complex dementia care needs improve their quality of life and transition to less intensive care over time.Flexible Shift Options: Choose from full-time/ Part-time shifts 3pm–11pm 11pm–7amYour Responsibilities:Deliver compassionate, person-centred care to older people living with behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia.Support residents' daily living activities in alignment with personalised care plans, cultural preferences, and family needs.Observe and report to clinical staff on residents' health and functional changes.Promote independence and rehabilitation-focused care.Actively contribute to care planning, quality improvement, and continuous learning.What You Bring:Essential:Must have Cert IV in Ageing SupportExperience in residential aged careKnowledge and experience in dementia careCurrent National Police CertificateUnderstanding of behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD)Desirable:Previous experience in a Specialist Dementia Care Program (SDCP)About the Unit:Our new Specialist Dementia Care Unit is designed to support older individuals living with more complex dementia-related needs.
The focus is on stabilisation, intensive person-centred support, and transition planning — all delivered in a warm, purpose-built environment.
