Leisure and Lifestyle Support Role

We are seeking an energetic Leisure & Lifestyle Assistant to join our team in a fulfilling position.

As a valued member of our team, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to create, implement and further develop lifestyle programs that cater to the unique needs of our residents.

You will assist the Lifestyle Coordinator in enabling resident lifestyle choices while providing support for individual needs.

This role involves working on the frontline with our residents, which can be challenging but is also rewarding when achieving positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with professional care practices to deliver exceptional service.
  • Providing support for volunteers to enhance their experience.
  • Developing and implementing new lifestyle options to enrich the lives of our residents.
  • Evaluating current and future lifestyle options to ensure alignment with our values.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Previous experience in implementing lifestyle programs catering to specific needs, preferably in the aged care industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships.
  • A minimum of a Certificate-III in Leisure and Lifestyle or equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience with the Montessori philosophy lifestyle program would be highly regarded.
  • An engaging personality that contributes to our team's dynamic and fosters a positive work environment.

Essential requirements include:

  • NDIS Workers Screening Check Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current Police check clearance (or willingness to obtain).
  • Proof of Work rights in Australia.
  • Proof of COVID Vaccination certificate (two doses + booster dose).
  • Proof of Flu vaccination (current year).
