Job Role

This is a key role within the Instrumentation, Automation & Control Services Team. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Implementing electrical safety procedures while working on assets.
  • Installing electrical equipment in accordance with Australian standards.
  • Assisting Commissioning Engineers to commission assets after modification work.
  • Interpreting electrical schematics and scopes of work to achieve successful outcomes.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A valid NSW Electrical license with knowledge of AS/NZ 3000 wiring rules.
  • Industrial Instrumentation certification or relevant experience.
  • A current NSW driver's license.
  • A confined spaces certificate and OHS White card.
  • Experience in installing electrical equipment in industrial environments.
  • Ability to perform modifications to wiring within switchboards/control panels and document changes.
  • Capacity to work under limited direction and meet deadlines.
  • Relevant experience with telemetry systems and SCADA system wiring is desirable.
