Clinical Specialist in Genetic Counselling

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Educator (Genetic Counsellor) to join our Allied Health Clinical Education team.
This role involves collaborating with other health professional education teams to promote best practices in clinical learning environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering innovative models of education, training and professional development.
The key responsibilities of this position include:
- Integrating advanced clinical reasoning into clinical problem solving
- Designing and delivering high-quality education programs
- Supporting the collation, analysis and preparation of reports related to allied health clinical education data
- Delivering high-quality clinical and professional supervision to clinicians and students
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Eligibility for registration in genetic counselling with the Human Genetics Society of Australasia
- Experience in developing and delivering high-quality education/training programs
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of current educational policy and directives in the government and health sector
- Working knowledge of interprofessional education, andragogy and adult learning
