Role Overview

The 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup marks Australia's second hosting of the event, following 2006.

This fixed-term role will be part of a Local Organising Committee delivering the tournament in Australia. The event will bring together 12 nations in a structured celebration of women's football and multicultural Australia, while driving legacy outcomes for football and Australian society.

Key to success is effective communication with stakeholders, including government bodies and the Football Family.

Responsibilities include coordinating stakeholder engagement, monitoring Host City Agreement milestones, and providing administrative support to leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate communication between stakeholders.
  • Monitor Host City Agreement obligations and maintain records of milestones.
  • Support event logistics, including guest list management and VIP/VVIP bios preparation.
  • Format and distribute key documents, maintaining up-to-date contact lists for all stakeholders.
  • Provide administrative support to leadership, assist with meetings, presentations, and manage internal systems for document and data access.
Requirements
  • 1–3 years experience in event coordination, project management, stakeholder management, sports administration, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong organisational, time-management skills, and high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with familiarity with event management software a bonus.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and take initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, proactive, and eager-to-learn mindset.
  • Ability to work with agility, foster trust, embrace inclusivity, collaborate as one united team, and strive for excellence.
Working Conditions
