Job Title: Event Coordinator and Stakeholder Relations Specialist

This role is part of the Local Organising Committee for a prestigious international sports event in Australia.


Job Description:

The Event Coordinator and Stakeholder Relations Specialist will be responsible for coordinating and supporting communication between the LOC and various stakeholders, including government bodies and the Football Family. This involves managing meeting schedules, drafting key communications, and tracking Host City Agreement obligations using project management tools.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and support communication between the LOC and various stakeholders.
  • Monitor and track Host City Agreement obligations.
  • Support event logistics, including guest list management and preparation of accurate VIP/VVIP bios and protocol materials.
  • Assist in formatting, preparing, and distributing key documents and maintaining up-to-date contact lists for all stakeholders.
  • Provide general admin support to leadership, help with meetings, presentations, and manage internal systems for document and data access.
  • Support internal coordination by assisting with daily team tasks, meetings, and ensuring timely completion of follow-ups.

Requirements:
  • 1–3 years in event coordination, project management, stakeholder management, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong organisational, time-management skills, and high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with event management software is a bonus.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage shifting priorities, and take initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, proactive, and eager-to-learn mindset.
