About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the UNSW Australia team as a Clinical Skills Educator, responsible for coordinating and delivering clinical skills training and simulation activities within high- and low-fidelity learning environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement educational innovations as part of the clinical teaching staff in the School of Clinical Medicine.
  • Coordinate and deliver clinical skills training and simulation activities, ensuring alignment with teaching requirements and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to accelerate the development and implementation of educational innovations.
  • Stay up-to-date with discipline knowledge and professional development, maintaining currency in registration from the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Design and deliver skills teaching and simulated learning in healthcare settings, utilizing simulation and scenario-based learning equipment, software, and task trainers.
  • Utilize educational technologies and simulation delivery methods to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
  • Support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds, promoting student equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
Requirements
  • Qualification in nursing or a relevant health discipline.
  • Experience in practical teaching and learning design, development, and delivery at undergraduate level.
  • High level of experience in the development and delivery of skills teaching and simulated learning in healthcare settings.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry or experience of work-integrated learning.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.
