About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Permitting Manager to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our APAC Infrastructure-Development team, you will be responsible for leading on multiple regions and sites in development, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and obtaining necessary permits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit environmental permits and applications to governmental agencies in a timely manner.
  • Manage consultant deliverables and quality for critical environmental disciplines, including air permits, EIAs, natural heritage/biodiversity and cultural heritage assessments.
  • Lead on environmental due diligence reviews, including contaminated site management, remediation, initial environmental risk analysis, site screening, and site approvals.
  • Negotiate with regulatory, authority, and agency stakeholders to ensure compliance and obtain necessary permits.
  • Collaborate with key AWS teams, including Real Estate, Risk & Resiliency, Design Engineering, and Legal.
About the Team

You will be part of the APAC Infrastructure-Development team within the global Environmental organization of AWS. We are responsible for environmental due diligence, permitting, and approvals for all new AWS sites in Asia-Pacific. Our team is small but highly effective, managing multiple projects in APAC and always innovating in how we complete our work.
