The Role
We're seeking a Support Services Specialist to join our team in Townsville. In this fixed-term full-time role (38 hours/week), you'll provide outreach support services, including advocacy, information provision, and skills development to individuals recovering from drug and alcohol dependencies, as well as their families and carers.
This position requires staff to work in compliance with the Human Services Quality Framework and the National Quality Framework for Alcohol and other Drugs. You'll also need to adhere to our Community Services Policy Framework and comply with all Society policies and procedures.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Alcohol & other Drugs, Mental Health, or similar
- Experience in developing and delivering comprehensive individual and group programs to support recovery from drug and alcohol dependencies
- A COVID-19 vaccination status is recommended but not mandatory
- An understanding of and commitment to our philosophy and an ability to work in accordance with our policies and procedures
