Support and Empowerment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Support Coordinator to join our team in regional Queensland. As a Support and Empowerment Specialist, you will work closely with participants to navigate the NDIS and interpret their individual packages, ensuring they receive the most out of their plans.
Key Responsibilities:- Empowering participants to make informed choices about their lives
- Coordinating services to support participants in living fulfilling and meaningful lives within their community
- Engaging with key stakeholders, including government agencies, community service providers, and families, to ensure seamless support delivery
- Strengthening participants' ability to coordinate their own supports, enabling them to live their best life
To be successful, you must possess:
- A working knowledge of the NDIS (desirable)
- Excellent communication skills
- A commitment to best practice
- Experience working in a team environment
- The ability to quickly and effectively engage consumers
- The ability to work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and individuals
- Certificate IV in Mental Health (desirable)
- A current minimum P1 'C' class Queensland driver's licence
- A currently registered, roadworthy, and fully comprehensive insured vehicle
- First Aid and CPR certificates (ability to obtain)
- A Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (ability to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (ability to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You'
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $41.46 (base rate) + superannuation, along with additional benefits, including:
