Working in the Medical Devices Industry

You will be exposed to a wide range of products that have a significant impact on patients' quality of life. As a Senior Legal Strategist, you will play a critical role in shaping our legal landscape and collaborating with attorneys and business partners across various offices.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • You will provide strategic legal advice to ANZ business partners on critical initiatives, commercial transactions, and contracts, focusing on compliance and successful execution.
  • You will offer counsel on tenders, business development, sales, distribution, operations, reimbursement, and market access, ensuring marketing law compliance and providing guidance on standard methodologies.
  • You will assist APAC business partners in implementing new regulatory frameworks and addressing compliance risks, coordinating with regulatory agencies as needed.
  • You will handle outside law firms and vendors, ensuring efficient coordination across multiple internal teams.
  • You will offer experienced legal mentorship on marketing, government tenders, intellectual property, and licensing standards, maintaining frequent communication with your supervisor, HQ Legal colleagues, and ANZ business leaders.
  • You will ensure the organisation and efficiency of the Legal team, meeting high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • You are a qualified attorney with a law degree and 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm or in-house.
  • Your deep knowledge of healthcare compliance laws in ANZ is crucial to your role, as well as your understanding of medical device advertising laws and experience with promotional materials throughout the APAC region.
  • You must have excellent leadership skills, ability to lead outside counsel relationships, and draft complex agreements, handling a high volume of diverse projects efficiently.
  • You should possess comprehensive computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and effectively use contract management systems.
  • You excel in a team-oriented and collaborative environment, working both independently and as part of a distributed team, performing remote work professionally and efficiently.

What We Offer

A competitive salary of approximately $145,000 per annum, depending on location and experience, along with opportunities for growth and professional development in a dynamic and expanding Legal team.
