Project Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a highly driven and ambitious Project Manager to manage the delivery of a major capital works program in Laverton, Victoria.

The ideal candidate would be part of a project delivery team supporting the Senior Project Manager. The role involves managing project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

The successful candidate will have minimum 8 years direct experience managing projects on major hazards facilities (MHF), with demonstrable experience of embedding safety considerations into all phases of a project.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Project manage or provide project engineering support to deliver EPC/EPCM projects from project scoping and initiation, front end design, through detailed design, procurement, construction, hand over and close-out
  • Manage project planning, scheduling, cost control, procurement, and risk management
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety standards

Additionally, we are looking for someone who has exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and oral, with tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.

Job Description

This role involves managing a project delivery team to deliver EPC/EPCM projects from project scoping and initiation through to completion.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project planning, scheduling, cost control, procurement, and risk management.

They will also be required to ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years direct experience managing projects on major hazards facilities (MHF)
  • Demonstrable experience of embedding safety considerations into all phases of a project
  • Proven experience in managing capital project portfolios in the chemicals/agricultural sectors
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline
  • PMP or equivalent certification highly regarded
