Business Valuation Manager Role Overview

Job Opportunity

We seek a seasoned manager to lead valuation and economics projects for clients, providing strategic advice on capital preservation, optimisation and investment.

  • Undertake valuations of businesses and intangible assets for various purposes including management planning, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), tax, financial reporting, and disputes.
  • Manage and prepare detailed valuation reports, which may include assessment of strategic options for transformation initiatives and financial modelling and analysis.
Key Responsibilities

As a Business Valuation Manager, you will work closely with clients and project teams to:

  • Develop and implement valuation strategies to preserve, optimise, raise or invest client capital.
  • Lead small project teams in undertaking valuations of businesses and intangible assets.
  • Prepare and maintain high-quality valuation reports, including financial modelling and analysis.
  • Maintain positive relationships with client personnel and EY project teams.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A bachelor's degree and approximately 3 to 7 years of related work experience.
  • A degree in finance, economics, accounting, or business, with demonstrated aptitude in quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Direct experience utilising various valuation techniques and methodologies (market comparables, discounted cash flow, etc.) for different purposes.
  • Experience in financial modelling in MS Excel and related software preferred.
