About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team at GenesisCare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in an acute care environment, working closely with our nursing team to deliver outstanding patient outcomes.
- Assist patients with taking observations, including vital signs and other clinical measurements, and document their progress in accordance with our organisational protocols.
- Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of patient rooms, including cleaning and ordering equipment and supplies.
- Support the nursing team in the delivery of nursing care, including assisting with patient transfers and providing emotional support to patients and their families.
Requirements
- HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Descriptor: Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care) or currently studying Bachelor of Nursing or a degree deemed appropriate.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding for patients and their carers.
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations.
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
