About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant in Nursing to join our team in Ward 5D, a dynamic mix of both public and private medical and surgical care. As an Assistant in Nursing, you will be responsible for assisting nurses and hospital staff in carrying out patient care duties. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting nurses and hospital staff in carrying out patient care duties.
- Working as part of the healthcare team and practicing in accordance with state legislation and within the designated scope of practice parameters.
- Assessing patients using therapeutic skills.
- Answering patient/visitor/customer enquiries.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Certificate III/IV in Community and Health Services, Personal Carer, or equivalent. You will also need to have excellent ability to plan and prioritise work, highly developed verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team. Previous experience as an Assistant in Nursing is desired.
