Nursing Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our dynamic nursing team at Healthscope's Northern Beaches Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Nurses and Healthcare Professionals: Provide support to nurses and other healthcare professionals in carrying out patient care duties, ensuring the highest level of care and attention to detail.
- Work as Part of a Multidisciplinary Team: Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care, working together to achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Assess Patients and Provide Recommendations: Use your therapeutic skills to assess patients and provide recommendations for specialist treatment programs, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care.
- Communicate Effectively: Develop and maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, ensuring that all parties are informed and engaged in the care process.
- Contribute to a Positive Work Environment: Foster a positive and supportive work environment, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and professionalism.
- Certificate IV in Health Care: Hold a Certificate IV in Health Care from an approved training provider.
- Enrolled in a Bachelor of Nursing: Be currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Nursing program, having completed a minimum of one placement.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work a variety of shifts, including day and night shifts, over 7 days.
