
Incident Response Specialist

**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Incident Response Specialist to join our Quality Assurance and Consumer Partnerships team on a permanent full-time basis. The role involves developing an effective incident management service to respond to and coordinate all client incidents, including serious and high-risk cases.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the client incident management process, reviewing and analyzing reported incidents, coordinating responses, setting tasks, and prioritizing outcomes. This includes ensuring clear and timely communication channels between internal and external stakeholders, managing communications and relationships with stakeholders, and tracking and reporting clinical incidents.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the client incident management process, review, analyze, and action reported client incidents
- Coordinate clinical incident response activities, ensuring clear and timely communication channels
- Manage communications and relationships with stakeholders to achieve work area and department goals
- Ensure accurate tracking and communication of clinical incidents, providing reporting and data analysis
- Manage complex, difficult, and sensitive clinical issues through risk assessment and interpretation against relevant policies and procedures
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in a health-related discipline (ideally Bachelor of Nursing)
- Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) (Essential)
- Demonstrated analytical capability to identify systemic issues and create action plans to mitigate risks or leverage opportunities for improvement
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to implement change and improvements
- Demonstrated understanding of open disclosure processes, root cause methodology, and management of serious incidents and feedback
