The Operations team is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to support financial analysis, planning, and control in our fast-growing Australian Fulfillment Network. This role requires a highly analytical individual who can drive continuous improvement in financial and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Operations to drive optimal cross-functional decision-making that maximizes Amazon's long-term free cash flow.
  • Support expansion projects and new business initiatives, third-party agreements, network location analyses, and ensure timely and accurate metrics and forecasts are created and maintained.
  • Drive standardization of operational processes within the Fulfillment Center network, adopt and share best practices across Europe and worldwide.
  • Review business cases for capital expenditure, ensure execution of capex plan, and fixed asset management.
  • Contribute to the next generation development of site finance planning and analysis; influence across sites and operating countries to effect change.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyze data.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivots, lookups, etc.)
  • Experience building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance or a related analytical field.
  • 5+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes.
  • 5+ years of experience identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause, and creating/implementing an escalation plan.
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment, influencing strategy, and achieving goals by working across the organization.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Intelligence, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance, or equivalent quantitative field.
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e., SQL, MSAccess, Essbase, or Cognos) and providing recommendations based on results of ad-hoc analyses to management for strategic decision-making.

We estimate the annual salary for this position to be around $120,000 - $180,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
