Talent Web is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team in Sydney CBD. As a key member of our high-performing team, you will play a direct role in supporting financial strategies and business success.

About the Role

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reports, analyzing trends and variances, and investigating profit margin variances. You will work closely with sales and marketing teams to create realistic budgets and prepare weekly forecasts. Your expertise in financial systems and ERP knowledge will help drive revenue and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Deliver accurate and timely financial reports, focusing on sales performance and product profitability.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Partner with sales and marketing teams to create realistic budgets and prepare weekly forecasts, analyzing trends and variances.
  • Inventory & Cost Management: Monitor inventory levels and costs, ensuring financial efficiency while aligning stock levels with market demand.
  • Revenue & Sales Support: Provide data-driven insights to support sales strategies and assess promotional impacts on profitability.
  • Month-End Processes: Manage key month-end tasks, including prepayments, accruals, intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and general ledger reviews.
  • Variance Analysis: Investigate and explain profit margin variances, trends, and anomalies against budgets and forecasts.
About You
  • Experience: 3+ years in a similar accounting role, ideally in FMCG or a similar fast-paced industry.
  • Technical Skills: Strong Excel proficiency and experience with financial systems; ERP knowledge is a plus.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Organisational Skills: Detail-oriented, capable of meeting tight deadlines and balancing multiple responsibilities.
  • Team Player: Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, superannuation, and paid annual leave.
