About the Role

Brightcove is seeking an experienced Sales Development Representative to join our team in Australia and New Zealand. This individual will be responsible for identifying and developing new sales leads, which will then be passed on to our Account Executives and Sales Directors.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional skills in generating, prospecting, and qualifying leads, which are crucial components of the sales process. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate expertise in a fast-paced sales environment within a growing SaaS company, with significant potential for career growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Qualify and nurture sales leads generated through various channels, including the Web, trial system, seminars, and conferences.
  • Establish initial contact with potential customers to identify decision-makers, understand their business needs, and provide recommendations for next steps.
  • Identify high-potential prospects and transition them to the appropriate sales representative.
  • Collaborate with inside and field sales representatives to develop a target list of accounts to penetrate on a quarterly basis, aligned with our business plan.
  • Effectively utilize our lead management system and document tracking processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with Brightcove's products and services, as well as competitive differences.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly individual metrics.
Requirements/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using a CRM solution such as Salesforce.com is preferred.
  • Must be highly self-motivated, professional, detail-oriented, organized, and flexible.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as individually.
  • Positive attitude with a desire to work in a rapid-growth, entrepreneurial environment.
Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000, depending on experience.
