Job Description

As an External Dispute Resolution Case Manager, you will be responsible for providing support and advice to internal stakeholders on a case-by-case basis. Your role will involve being a stakeholder advocate, providing trusted, thorough, impartial, and empathetic dispute resolution.

You will manage the investigation and response to customer disputes received directly from the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA), aligned to both business and customer requirements. You must ensure that all communication meets code compliance and regulatory timeframes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and resolve customer disputes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide support and advice to internal stakeholders on a case-by-case basis.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve dispute resolution outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of relevant GICOP & RG271 legislative requirements.
  • Working knowledge of internal & external dispute resolution processes.
  • Working knowledge of AFCA processes.
  • Previous experience in dispute resolution, either insurance or finance.
  • Minimum of three years in dispute resolution role is highly regarded.
  • Negotiation, mediation or conciliation experience highly regarded.
