Dispute Resolution Specialist

This role involves overseeing the investigation and resolution of customer disputes received directly from external authorities. The primary focus is on ensuring responses align with both business and customer needs while adhering to regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review complaints thoroughly and respond on behalf of the business in a timely manner.
  • Negotiate outcomes where possible, taking into account the needs of both the customer and the business.
  • Prepare written submissions defending the business position.
  • Consider customer vulnerabilities in decision-making and provide relevant support where applicable.
  • Ensure accurate recording and maintenance of customer dispute information.
  • Meet quality audit requirements consistently.
  • Communicate with customers in writing and verbally to resolve disputes using privacy principles, legal, and company standards.

Required Skills:

  • A high level of negotiation, mediation, or conciliation experience is highly regarded.
  • Previous experience in internal dispute/external dispute resolution is considered advantageous.
  • Experience in general insurance or dealing with customer complaints is mandatory.
