About the Role
This role offers an opportunity to gain practical work experience and enhance professional skills in event management, communication, and teamwork. As a Student Assistant, you will provide support across various events, workshops, and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with event logistics, including setup, packing up, and managing technology.
  • Supporting online workshops and hybrid classes via video conferencing platforms.
  • Providing information and assistance to students, parents, and other stakeholders at events.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Achieving Academic Success
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong academic record, with a minimum of 40 credit points completed and a weighted average mark (WAM) of 65 or above. You must also have at least one year of study remaining.

Personal Attributes
You will be outgoing, positive, and enthusiastic about university life. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential, as well as strong organisational and time management abilities. Ability to show initiative and work autonomously or as part of a team is also required.

Technical Skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office is desirable, as is public speaking experience and graphic design skills. Awareness of the university structure and knowledge base in your field of study are also beneficial.
