Job Overview

An Associate Director plays a pivotal role in project finance, overseeing the structuring, execution and management of transactions across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transaction Origination & Execution: Assist with structuring, negotiation and execution of project finance transactions to align with strategic objectives.
  • Financial Analysis & Modeling: Work on complex financial models to assess project feasibility, debt structuring and perform sensitivities.
  • Risk Assessment & Due Diligence: Conduct credit and risk analysis on existing and prospective transactions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, sponsors, other banks and financial advisors.
  • Credit Submissions: Prepare or assist in the preparation of credit submissions.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in relevant disciplines - Finance, Economics or Business.
  • Minimum five years of experience in corporate banking, project finance, investment banking or structured finance preferably in a leading financial institution or global bank.
  • Some industry knowledge of infrastructure, energy, renewables or natural resources financing is preferred.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, credit risk analysis and loan structuring. Experience with syndicated lending is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with ability to engage with senior executives and external partners.
  • Written and verbal fluency in both English and Mandarin is preferred.
  • Previous experience in corporate banking or structured finance is highly desirable.
