About the Position

This is a senior role in our organization, leading the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) function for the Asia Pacific region. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing EHS strategies and programs to ensure compliance with local regulations and standards.

The EHS leader will work closely with various departments, including Workplace Services, Global Security, Commercial, Technical Operations, Legal/Compliance, Human Resources, and Compensation/Benefits. They will also interact with leaders across APAC countries to share best practices and ensure delivery of high-quality EH&S services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and administer an effective EHS management system and program.
  • Lead the development of tracking, analysis, and assessment of global EHS metrics and advise management on company impacts and improvements.
  • Provide expert advice on WHS-related matters, emerging issues, and impacts to the organization.
  • Oversee the region-wide accident and incident investigation process (excluding manufacturing).
  • Play an active and integral role in the Global EHS team.
  • Proactively lead the risk management process for the region.
  • Lead the workers compensation and return-to-work program.
  • Assist in the preparation, completion, and timely submission of related agency regulatory reports.
  • Play a key role in emergency response planning and incident response, office and work-from-home ergonomics, accident report oversight, pandemic planning.

  • Previous experience developing and implementing a strategy for a safety management system across APAC.

  • Capable and driven to establish partnerships, strategically lead, and manage sensitive safety-related investigations.
