Job Title

We are seeking a senior-level professional to lead our health, safety, wellbeing and environment streams.

About the Role
  • This is an opportunity to provide strategic and operational oversight of these key areas and drive frameworks and initiatives across the organisation.
  • You will be responsible for leading these streams of work to ensure tailored frameworks, procedures, policies and programs are in place across the organisation.

This includes:

  • Model best practice health and safety leadership by ensuring specialist and pragmatic advice, practical guidance and support is available to stakeholders.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Ensuring we maintain the highest possible health and safety accreditations.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing the national Safety and Compliance team.
  • Managing a programme of health and safety audits.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead all health, safety, wellbeing and environment functions across the organisation.
  2. Mentor and develop the national Safety and Compliance team.
  3. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry requirements.
  4. Oversee the identification and mitigation of hazards, the reporting and investigation of incidents.
  5. Develop and implement environmental strategies, policies, practices and action plans.
Requirements
  • At least 15 years of experience in HSE roles, with a minimum of 5 in senior leadership.
  • WHS - Formal qualifications are essential.
  • Able to lead and mentor a group of HSE professionals based around Australia.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of occupational health and safety management.
  • Ability to conduct research, investigate and analyse complex issues.
  • Well-developed report writing and research skills.
  • Experience in working with a diverse group of stakeholders.
