Role Overview

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires initiative, resilience, collaboration, creativity and genuine compassion.

  • Work with families experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness in West and South West Sydney.
  • Collaborate with clients, partner organisations and internal teams to provide holistic support.
  • Develop and implement case management plans to achieve permanent exits from homelessness.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred, trauma-informed and culturally competent support to families.
  • Articulate practice that respects diversity and the role of case management in supporting exits from homelessness.
  • Respond to the safety needs of children at risk of serious harm.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, partner organisations and internal teams.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications and experience in providing quality accommodation, care and support activities for families.
  • Understanding of homelessness and ability to provide empathy to families at risk or experiencing homelessness.
  • Ability to work in complex community welfare settings and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Competency in responding to child protection concerns.
Desirable Skills
  • Local knowledge and understanding of sector practice guidelines.
  • Familiarity with information systems and outcome measures.
Benefits

$88,103 - $94,796 per year, in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, Level 4.
