Job Description:

A Principal Data Analyst is sought to join our team in a multi-disciplinary environment. This role will serve as a liaison between business objectives and technical solutions, ensuring clear definitions of requirements, aligned with existing technical landscapes and systems.



Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the knowledge of the Client Information Management System (CIMS), including data extraction, help desk functions, and enhancements of configurations.
  2. Collect and analyze homelessness data to ensure it meets national minimum standards.
  3. Develop and implement data strategies, processes, and mentor the data team to perform their duties.
  4. Lead the analysis and documentation of business requirements and facilitate business and system solutions.
  5. Collaborate with technical specialists to identify and evaluate feasible, cost-efficient, and effective technical solutions that comply with regulatory requirements, security standards, department, and industry best practices.
  6. Provide proactive and evidence-based expert advice on homelessness data and systems to support development of homelessness policies and strategies.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to explain data in easy-to-understand language.
  • High-level experience in client management systems, particularly CIMS, and superior understanding of the specialist homelessness services collection (SHSC).
  • Strong decision-making, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage, develop, and mentor a team.
