Senior Kitchen Professional Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Kitchen Professional to join our dynamic team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where quality and creativity are at the heart of everything we do. As a Senior Kitchen Professional, you will be responsible for running your section efficiently, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish served. You will work closely with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef, supporting daily kitchen operations, maintaining high standards of food preparation, and helping to train and mentor junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standard in your designated section.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in line with food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Support the wider kitchen team during busy service periods.
  • Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimizing waste.
  • Train, guide, and supervise Commis Chefs and apprentices.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop new menu ideas and specials.

About You:

  • Previous experience as a Senior Kitchen Professional or above.
  • Chef trade qualification (essential).
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with a multicultural diverse team.
  • Flexible to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and WH&S standards.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a 4- or 5-star hotel.
  • Ability to work unrestricted in Australia – full working rights.
  • Be able to lift, push, and pull large objects up to 50lbs (23 kg), bend, and kneel.
  • Good reading, writing, and basic maths.
