Key Chef Leadership Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill this key leadership role within our culinary team.

This position will be based on a full-time permanent capacity and offers a unique opportunity for an accomplished chef to lead our kitchen operations.

The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in managing high-performing teams.

About the Role
  • Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations, ensuring seamless food service delivery.
  • Maintain consistently clean, sanitised and presentable kitchen areas, promoting a culture of excellence in hygiene.
  • Contribute to our Food Safety Program by identifying hazards, applying controls and documenting incidents as required.
  • Assist in mobilising staff, equipment and facilities during surge operations or emergency contingencies.
  • Monitor kitchen equipment and promptly report issues to the Head Chef to ensure timely repairs and minimal disruption.

Requirements

  • Australian recognised Certificate III (or higher) in Commercial Cookery.
  • Previous proven experience in a similar leadership role.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Sound knowledge of Food Safety Standards, relevant legislation, and statutory obligations.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
