Job Opportunity: Executive Chef Support

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Adelaide Oval. As a key member of the kitchen brigade, you will play an integral role in leading the success of our events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the kitchen team and provide hands-on support to ensure seamless execution of food operations.
  • Work closely with other department managers to plan and coordinate food operations, achieving short and long-term business objectives.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to introduce and implement new and innovative menus, generating revenue and meeting customer expectations.
  • Ensure effective inventory control, purchasing, and delivery of supplies through negotiation with suppliers.
  • Manage assigned HACCP (food hygiene) plan, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience working in the Food and Beverage industry, preferably within a stadium or large-scale event setting.
  • Assist in writing menus and implementing menu and function packages.
  • Management of functions and events kitchen brigade, ensuring smooth execution of complex events.
  • Experience in major event and public catering, with ability to maintain high workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and management skills, inspiring teams to achieve excellence.
