About the Role

As an AML Remediation Compliance Specialist at Great Southern Bank, you will play a pivotal role in driving forward a pipeline of remediation projects. Working closely with our AML Uplift program, you will be instrumental in ensuring the execution of both AML and broader business remediation practices.

Job Description

The Remediation Analyst will work with their lead counterparts to drive remediation execution supported by appropriate procedures, delivery templates, and reporting frameworks. You will bring critical analysis to all your tasks, underpinned by sound AML/CTF understanding, regulatory reporting, and general experience system processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive remediation projects forward, working closely with our AML Uplift program
  • Ensure the execution of both AML and broader business remediation practices
  • Work with lead counterparts to drive remediation execution
  • Bring critical analysis to all tasks, underpinned by sound AML/CTF understanding
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in a similar role, specifically working and supporting KYC, and/or AML/CTF remediation activity;
  • Demonstrated understanding for identification and verification of KYC/AML and regulatory compliance documents including jurisdictional requirements;
  • Demonstrated experience within back-office operational banking with knowledge and understanding for the value operational activity provides to the customer's journey;
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify risks, issues, and trends specifically across transaction monitoring, name screening and regulatory reporting requirements;
  • Ability to work and thrive in a business environment, often under pressure, prioritising deadlines, and communicating with your leader to manage expectations on delivery deadlines;
  • Strong communicator, written and verbal with the ability to escalate and articulate complex issues to senior leaders;
  • Ability to analyse and problem solve in the context of change and continuous improvement;
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with demonstrated high attention to detail.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package, estimated to be around $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
