Job Title: Disability Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual with a strong work ethic to provide support to a young lady with psychosocial disability in her own home. The successful applicant will work one-on-one, providing a safe, engaging, and respectful environment tailored to her needs.

About the Role

This is a casual position, working 30-40 hours per week, with flexible scheduling to accommodate shifts including morning, afternoon, evening, night shifts, and overtime as required. You will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the life of our client, supporting her to live independently and achieve her goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to our client, including daily living tasks and assistance with activities of daily living.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with our client, her family, and other stakeholders, ensuring a collaborative and inclusive approach.
  • Work collaboratively with other support workers and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A calm and nurturing personality with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience working with individuals with psychosocial disabilities or similar populations.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Current First Aid Certification, Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, National Police Certificate, and Driver Licence preferred.
