Student Wellbeing Specialist

Job Summary:

A Student Wellbeing Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the wellbeing and academic success of students. This involves working collaboratively with teachers, families, and other stakeholders to address the mental health needs of children and young people.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be based at Red Hill Public School, providing opportunities to work across the lifespan with both primary and high school-aged students. As a Student Wellbeing Specialist, you will have the chance to utilise and expand your skills and expertise as part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to improve learning and wellbeing outcomes for children and young people from diverse backgrounds and needs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote student wellbeing and mental health.
  • Provide individual and group support to students, as needed.
  • Participate in regular professional supervision and contribute to the broader district school counselling team.
