Dementia Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Dementia Care Specialist. In this role, you will have the opportunity to apply your expertise in assessment and biopsychosocial approaches to support individuals living with dementia.

About This Role

  • Support families and caregivers to understand the impact of dementia on each individual.
  • Equip carers and clinicians with the skills to prevent and respond to behaviour changes through modelling, coaching, and development of resources including behaviour support planning.
  • Develop reports that are contextualised to individual situations and people, effecting change on the ground and improving quality of life for people living with dementia.
  • Conduct a range of assessments to understand the holistic experience of the person and their care network.

In this position, you will be working in partnership with a broader initiative to build capability across the home and aged care sectors. You will also contribute to research, projects, and programs, and work innovatively to meet the changing needs of the sector.
