We offer a competitive salary of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience, to support your career growth.

About the Role

The Business Proposal Development Specialist will play a key role in creating strong and profitable customer relationships for Optus Business. Your primary focus will be on supporting the Account Management and Pre-Sales teams, ensuring seamless execution of proposals from initial notification to service implementation.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • BUILDING CAPABILITY LEVELS OF ACCOUNT TEAMS by assisting in proposal planning and execution;
  • ENGAGING WITH AND SUPPORTING SALES TEAMS ON TENDERS AND DELIVERY OF NEW SALES ORDERS;
  • WORKING WITH COMMERCIAL TEAMS TO UPDATE PRICING AND CONTRACT VARIATIONS;
  • ASSISTING WITH PROPOSAL DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT OF INTERNAL GOVERNANCE PROCESS FOR STAKEHOLDER APPROVAL;
  • GATHERING INFORMATION REQUIRED FROM TEAM AND CLIENT TO DEVELOP DOCUMENTATION;
  • FOLLOWING PROCESSES AND PROCEDURES REQUIRED BY ACCOUNT TEAMS TO BRING AN OPPORTUNITY TO CLOSE AND CLAIM;
  • DEVELOPING AND BUILDING STRONG CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS;
  • BUILDING ROBUST GOVERNANCE PROCESS AND DOCUMENTATION.
About You

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Australian citizenship (required for security clearance purposes);
  • An ICT or Telecommunications background is advantageous, but not essential;
  • Knowledge of voice products, NetAccess DSL, Mobile products, Data Products;
  • Excellent organisational skills with some project management experience;
  • Strong communication, customer-focused, and relationship-building skills;
  • Professional presentation experience;
  • A proven track record in critical time management and task prioritisation.
