Head of Growth Initiatives

An opportunity exists for a highly experienced strategic leader to drive business performance and growth by leading a high-performing team in identifying opportunities, analysing feasibility, and making strategic recommendations.

This is a unique chance to shape the company's future by providing specialist advice and thought leadership to senior executives and stakeholders. The primary objectives include:

  • Corporate Strategy Formation: Identify long-term strategic opportunities and work with senior executives to prioritise initiatives and create delivery plans.
  • Strategic Thought Leadership: Lead problem and opportunity analysis for senior executives, using a holistic, analytical approach to develop high-impact recommendations.
  • Communication and Influence: Develop strategic recommendations based on high-quality analysis and insightful written materials, and engage with and influence senior stakeholders to support effective decision-making.
  • Horizon Scanning: Develop and share intelligence about macro trends to help the company disrupt and create new markets.
  • People Leadership: Lead a diverse workforce, communicating a clear vision and performance objectives, promoting talent identification, building capability, and empowering direct reports.

We are seeking an individual with a strong background in strategy, who has a proven ability to bring high impact to the role and meet organisational outcomes. Key skills include:

  • Strategic and Lateral Thinking: Resolve complex or ambiguous issues by drawing on own and others' knowledge, balancing a growth and innovation mindset with risk mitigation.
  • Commercial Acumen: Help shape performance targets and understand implications of business decisions and actions.
  • Problem-Solving: Use a holistic and analytical approach to solve complex problems and enable high-impact recommendations.
  • Experience at a top-tier strategy consulting firm or ASX50 company, preferably with exposure to global consumer, retail, and/or grocery sectors.
