Job Title: Sales Coordinator

Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Coordinator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and results-driven individual to contribute to the success of our organization.

The Sales Coordinator will be responsible for providing professional, courteous, and helpful service to guests and/or customers, ensuring that their expectations are anticipated and exceeded with a primary focus on driving yield. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders from other hotel departments to ensure events are planned and executed professionally and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders. They will also possess excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The Sales Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the coordination of conferences, dinners, weddings, accommodation, and private dining bookings as required;
  • Handling calls, booking appointments, assisting in lead generation, and enquiry follow-up;
  • Working closely with back-of-house teams to ensure events are coordinated appropriately and in line with meeting or exceeding client expectations;
  • Conducting site inspections for clients and third-party suppliers as required for coordination of events;
  • Maintaining accurate records of sales activity, client information, tentative, and confirmed bookings using the iVvy event management system;
  • Preparing regular reports as directed by the Sales Manager or General Manager and ad-hoc reports where requested;
  • Being a Brand Ambassador for the hotel and Event Hospitality and Entertainment;
  • Attending all scheduled meetings;
  • Participating in scheduled training and development programs;
  • Conducting post-event follow-up and working closely with clients to secure future business for the hotel and EVT group;
  • Giving assistance and support to other departments and/or colleagues when needed;
  • Attention to detail at all times;
  • Client-focused, providing efficient, friendly, and professional service to all guests.
