Join our team as a Livestock Sales Support Specialist to support our Livestock Sales team.

About the Opportunity

We are currently offering an exciting opportunity for full-time permanent support to join our Wagga Wagga branch. Reporting to the Branch Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing Livestock sales; predominantly looking after Saleyard Sales twice weekly, private sales, other agent sales and clearing sales.
  • Attending sale days when required both at the saleyards and on farm at Stud Sales.
  • Provide professional customer service to existing and prospective clients.
  • Assist in managing vendor and purchaser accounts relevant to all Livestock transactions.
  • Performing administrative tasks including accounts payable, expenses, banking, mail distribution and general office duties.
  • Assist in managing vendor and purchaser accounts including reconciliation and debt collection
  • This role includes a rotating Saturday roster (one Saturday in every three months).

You will have previous experience in a team support role in a busy environment and have a passion for Australian farming and agriculture. You will demonstrate a proactive approach to work and practical organisation skills, excellent attention to detail, effective verbal communications skills to build solid long-term customer relationships, problem solving skills and empathy to resolve customer issues promptly, knowledge or experience with cattle and/or sheep livestock is advantageous but not essential, ability to identify ways to improve internal processes and excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook & the ability to learn new systems quickly.
