Job Title: Statewide Manager SMS Intelligence

The successful applicant will lead the day-to-day management of both centralised and regional SMS intelligence staff in meeting key organisational risk identification and management objectives.

About the Role:

This role involves coordinating and managing professionals responsible for proactive identification, assessment and intervention of intelligence information related to offenders.

  • Coordinate and manage a team of professionals responsible for identifying and mitigating intelligence risks
  • Develop and oversee processes to ensure staff receive coaching, training and professional development opportunities
  • Exercise substantial professional judgement and facilitate comprehensive intelligence support to risk management initiatives
  • Coordinate the provision of timely operational, tactical and strategic intelligence advice and products
  • Monitor and oversight the preparation of policy documents, submissions, briefs, memorandum and correspondence
  • Manage the generation and dissemination of Intelligence products
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and manage a team of SMS intelligence professionals
  2. Develop and implement processes for staff development and coaching
  3. Provide expert advice on intelligence matters to stakeholders
  4. Ensure effective communication and coordination across teams
  5. Manage the preparation and dissemination of intelligence reports
  6. Identify and mitigate potential risks to organisational objectives
