Employee Relations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Employee Relations Advisor to join our People and Wellbeing team at Lotus People. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in handling diverse employee relations matters, from disputes and grievances to performance management and union consultations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert employee relations support to employees and managers, ensuring alignment with policies and legal requirements.
- Resolve workplace conflicts through investigations and mediations, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
- Ensure compliance with legislation and awards, advising leaders on effective employee relations management.
- Contribute to team culture by engaging in activities that align with our organization's values and supporting managers in developing their confidence and leadership skills.
- Build strong relationships with unions and stakeholders, using insights to improve processes and support the team's goals.
- Proven experience managing employee relations cases in medium to large organizations, with a strong understanding of industrial relations and workplace legislation.
- Experience in reviewing, investigating, and drafting responses to legal matters, including those related to the Fair Work Commission.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, Modern Awards, and workplace legislation.
- Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive ER policies, procedures, and resources, with a strong focus on compliance and best practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and perform under pressure.
- A degree in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Law, or a related field is required.
