Employee Relations Specialist

About the role
We're seeking a highly skilled Employee Relations Specialist to join our Employee Experience and Wellbeing team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical part in a diverse range of employee relations initiatives.
In this role, you will:
- Provide support and advice to the People & Culture team and the organisation on complex ER issues, including performance, discipline, injury and illness, long term absence, restructuring, terminations, disputes, complaints and investigations
- Devise pragmatic solutions to complex queries, drawing upon detailed understanding of employment law, operational priorities and people management
- Undertake investigations and/or brief external providers as needed
- Represent the organisation at tribunals and the Fair Work Commission
- Support the negotiation and implementation of Enterprise Agreements and provide advice to the People & Culture team and Leaders across the organisation to ensure compliance with, and consistent application of, Enterprise Agreements.

About you
We're looking for a great communicator with top-notch interpersonal skills. You'll need to be able to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's likely you'll have:
- Experience in a legal environment or in an employee relations specialist role within a medium to large organisation
- Exposure to Enterprise Agreement negotiation and implementation for a medium to large organisation
- Highly developed knowledge of employment legislation and ability to conduct legal research
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong case management experience and demonstrated ability to engage and influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law, Human Resources, or another related field.
